Introduction
This web site enables members of the general public to search for Registered Automotive Workshops (RAWs) actively participating in the Registered Automotive Workshop Scheme (RAWS) and for vehicles that have been fitted with a "used import plate". RAWS legislation requires us to make this information available to the general public.
The site will be unavailable between 12 midnight and 1:30 AM (Eastern Australian time) for general maintenance.
RAWS participants should regularly check their details on this site to ensure that information relating to them is correct.
How do I find a RAW?
The RAW Company Search will only display active RAW participants. An active RAW participant is one who has been approved as a RAW and who is allowed to make applications to import and plate vehicles.
You can search for a RAW by filling in criteria on the Company Search page, then clicking on Search. The system will display active RAW participants who match all of the search criteria you enter.
The search results are displayed in a table below the search criteria. The following information is displayed for each RAW:
- PIN - displays the RAW's Participant ID Number (PIN). Each RAWS participant has a PIN allocated to them for identification purposes when they register with the Scheme. You can click on a PIN to view more information about the participant.
- Company Name - displays the RAW's registered company name.
- Trading Name - displays any other name the RAW may be trading under. Not all RAWs have trading names.
- ABN - displays the RAW's Australian Business Number (ABN). Where the RAW is an overseas company no ABN will be shown.
- City/Suburb, State, Country - displays brief address information for each RAW.
How can I view more information about a RAW?
Once you have searched for a RAW, you can click on their PIN to view their RAW Details. This screen is generated automatically and displays the most recent information recorded about the RAW.
The RAW's company details are displayed, as well as their mailing address and contact details for a nominated company representative. If the RAW is an overseas company, their Australian Sponsors details will also be shown.
